The first establishments of Abrera are Iberian, of that there has been located, at least for the time being, an area of storage of grain in siloes ("camp of sitges"). Of the Roman epoch, there is located and dependent on excavation a town, which must be known possibly like White Town, in Sant Hilari, and which would be a satellite of the city of Martorell, which the Romans founded with the name of Ad Fines ("in the limits" of the territory of Roan).

As historical - cultural patrimony in Abrera they stand out:

* Church of Sant Pere:

church of Romanesque style constructed at the end of the XIth century. It consists of only one ship with three decorated semicircular apses. The front is of the XIIth century and it consists of an archivolt decorated on two columns with capitals also decorated. The belfry also is of the century XII.por three arcuaciones between lesenas. Not this way the ship renewed with walls thicker and covered with pointed vault


* Chapel of Sant Hilari

It is located along with the farmhouse of Sant Hilari, it was constructed between the Xth and XIIth centuries on the remains of an ancient Roman town. It is only one ship with rectangular apse and barrel vault.

* Castle of Voltrera

Castle of the XIth century, placed in the Saw of Ribes, which was part of the feudal territory known as the Block of Vilalba and which later would integrate into the Castellvell barony. It is of emphasizing the numerous remains of his walls and of the ancient church of Sant Pere of Voltrera
